The highly-regarded Bournemouth chief has many admirers and last season he managed keeping the club in Premier League. He has influential admirers at Arsenal too.
However, Wenger need to make a decision on his future as owner Stan Kroenke is committed to extend his deal if he opts for. If he quits, Howe could be a direct replacement.
Howe’s own playing career was a brief one. He retired at the age of just 30 and immediately took coaching assignment at Bournemouth in the year 2007. After about a year he became caretaker-manager of the club and in 2009 he was appointed for the same on a permanent basis.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has warned Arsenal to stop tipping on Howe as he has unfinished business at his club and he will stay with them as he is addicted to the job. He is going nowhere.
Mostyn added Howe is a Bournemouth boy through and through, and he has been with them since he was 10-year-old. He can be considered moving after the club is established as a thoroughbred Premier League side over the period of next two or three years.
Dean Court (a football stadium in Bournemouth) boss had once said Howe as the best young manager and lately he heralded the club has a man of immense talent and has worked wonders for them. He is always going to be sought after.
