As it has been a norm over the last few years, Arsenal’s team get heavily inflicted with injuries and the team finds it very difficult to cope with the absentees. Wenger said of the French player “We might have Flamini back.”
Alexis has been out beginning this month and Wenger revealed that he “will be too short for Newcastle. He [could] be back for Sunderland.”
He is yet for feature for Arsenal this term because of a knee injury and Wenger said: “He is three weeks away [from training] now.”
Wishere had a set back as he was supposed to return in January. He clashed with Gabriel Paulista in training and injured his calf. Wenger was asked if he will make the Euro 2016 championship and he said: I maintain what I said that he could make it back for February. He will be available again. Considering you play the Euros on June 10, that is a long way.
Arteta has a hamstring and Wenger said: Arteta is back in training but is too short [of match fitness] to be selected in a competitive game.
Welbeck is also yet to feature this term due to a knee injury. He is expected to be back in the third week of February.
