Ahead of the North London derby clash against Tottenham, Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest concerning Hector Bellern and Laurent Koscielny’s fitness.
The aforementioned duo were greatly missed in the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich. They joined the growing list of players sidelined with injury.
Koscielny had a minor hip problem as confirmed by Arsene Wenger while Bellerin picked up a groin injury in training before the match against Bayern Munich.
However, in the post match press conference of the Champions League match, Wenger said Bellerin will still be absent against Spurs while Koscielny has a better chance to play the London derby match, per Daily Mail.
“Bellerin I don’t think will be available for Sunday and Koscielny has a small chance,’
‘From tonight, we have no more injuries, apart from in their heads we have no more injuries.’
Bellerin’s absence is a massive blow for Arsenal. The youngster has easily become one of the best right backs in the Premier League and will be greatly missed as Debuchy isn’t at his level.
The pair of Mertesacker and Gabriel was a disaster against Bayern Munich. Koscielny needs to back to save Arsenal and the aforementioned German isn’t living up to his bidding.
