Wenger CONFIRMS This 6ft 5″ Defensive Star Will Start For Arsenal Tonight – Not Mertesacker

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that his second choice goalkeeper David Ospina is still injured and Petr Cech will be in goal for the Gunner Capital One cup game against Sheffield Wednesday this Tuesday.

Matches like the League Cup provides avenue for managers to rest their key players and give opportunity to fringe players but unfortunately for Ospina, he will not feature against The Owls due to injury.

Meanwhile, having confirmed the absence of Ospina, Petr Cech is the most likely goalkeeper to be fielded by Wenger. Cech has been in superb form for the Gunners lately, conceding one goal in four games and the Gunners conceding the least goal in the Premier League so far.

Cech have conceded Eight goals in the Premier League so far and ahead of the trip to Hillsborough Wenger Said:

Ospina is still out too, so Cech will certainly play.”

Cech has become arguably the best goalkeeper in the Premier League and the fans of Arsenal feel more assured with him in gloves for them.

It will be recalled that Ospina was calamitous for the Gunners in the Champions League match against Olympiacos and till this moment Wenger would be ruing why he did not give Petr Cech the nod.

Whoever Wenger fields today should be able to do well in the game. The likes of Calum Chamber, Joel Campbell, Mathieu Debuchy would have the opportunity to show what they can do for the Gunners.
