According to reports, The Blues are ready to re-open talks with Turkish club, Galatasaray over Alex Telles possible transfer this january. The Blues were reported to have had a £5million bid for the player rejected by Galatasaray last summer. The Brazilian is currently on a year long loan at Inter Milan. Former Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho, had his eyes on the player last summer but failed to carve out a deal.
Daily Express reports that the London Club are ready to make another move for the highly rated left back once the transfer window re-opens. Chelsea is reported to be weighing up a £6.25.million bid for the former Gremio man. Inter coach, Roberto Mancini, branded Telles a special player and expectedly worked out a loan move to see the player join him at Inter after he left Turkey. A loan move that included a clause to make the deal permanent.
Telles is an adventurous full back who loves to attack and can also play as a left midfielder. He loves to make crosses, takes set pieces and is often involved in build up plays. Telles also has an admirable positioning skills and also has a good insight to the game. With Chelsea hoping to recover from a bad first half of the season, new recruitments are obviously welcomed in all positions as reputable replacements and depth in a team is never a bad idea.
Telles can also be a part of Chelsea’s future plans as he is only 23 and still have enough time ahead of him for more developments to his game. The only problem Chelsea might seem to encounter is the clause that gives Inter an option to make the deal permanent. The reports that Inter are likely to make the deal permanent currently complicates matters but doesnt seem enough to stop Chelsea from making a fresh bid for their last summer target.
After a slow start to life at Italy, Telles has found his footing, going on to make 9 league appearance for the Nerazzurri. He is yet to score in the Serie A, but has an assist to his name already. His completed pass rate stands at an impressive 81%. Telles will obviously be a wonderful addition to the Chelsea team if the three parties eventually reaches a deal.
