Chelsea have been given a boost in their chase for high rated Liverpool and Manchester United target PSG’s Javier Pastore following reports that the attacking midfielder may be forced to leave the club this winter due to lack of regular playing time.
Pastore who was one of PSG’s best players last season has seen his chances of regular playing time reduced after PSG bought Angel Di Maria from Manchester United last summer. Pastore so far this season has played eight games in all competition scoring once and creating three assists.
This is a far cry from last season’s 34 appearances in all competition in which he scored five goals and created 12 assists. The big impact his country man Angel Di Maria has had on PSG ever since switching over to the French ligue.
According to French media outlet, Le Parisien, Pastore is open to leaving PSG this winter in search of regular playing time and with Fabregas and Oscar not doing particularly well at Chelsea so far this season, this may be the Blues’ perfect chance to get in a player who is versatile enough to play the playmaking role and as well as on the both the right and the left wing.
