Three Players Chelsea Should Sell In January

Chelsea have not been having the best of times this season and it is no secret that there is a need for change if they want to turn their torrid season around.

The Blues would require a squad overhaul in January to take out underperforming players or players who have been deemed surplus to requirements in order to make way for fresher legs to come into the side.
Here are three players Chelsea will need to offload in January.

Chelsea won a bidding war against top clubs to sign Juan Cuadrado earlier this year but he flopped and was eventually loaned out to Juventus where he’s performing quite nicely but still possess a shred of inconsistency about his game. With Mourinho not really keen on bringing him back, a permanent move away could be expected in the January transfer window as Juventus is expected to snap him up on a permanent basis.

The Colombian international has been abysmal ever since his arrival at Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan deal. After a poor season with league rivals Manchester United, it was expected that the striker would impress in North London, but nothing it seemed he has gotten even worse.

Papy Djilobodji

Ever since his arrival at Chelsea the defender has failed to make a single premier league appearance for the Blues with Mourinho stating that he didn’t make the initial decision to sign him. Djilobodji is expected to leave in January having been tagged surplus to requirements by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
