Arsenal and Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey has disclosed that his Arsenal team-mates Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs have already started banters ahead of the mouth-watering clash between England and Wales at Euro 2016.
Ramsey’s Wales were on Saturday drawn against England, Slovakia and Russia in Group B after draws for the first round were made in Nice, France.
The former Cardiff City midfielder, who recently returned to action after a lengthy hamstring lay-off, stated that he always wanted a clash with the three lions at Euro 2016.
“I’m really looking forward to it, it’s new for the team to be involved in there.” Ramsey said.
“It’s going to be a great occasion for us, we’re going to enjoy every minute. Obviously there’s a ‘little’ game in middle!.
“But while we’re looking to enjoy it, we also want to take it seriously and get out of the group.
“To be fair, I wanted England. I had a bit of luck. I think it’ll be a great game for everyone who’s involved in what’ll be seen as a derby, if you like.
“[Theo and Kieran] have already been winding me up but I’m keeping quiet and seeing what happens on the day.” he further added.
With the European Championships not starting until June in France, Aaron Ramsey and his England team-mates would be occupied with their push for the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League titles with injury-hit Arsenal.
Aaron Ramsey has been influential for his team since returning from injury and has contributed 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 3 games in his preferred central midfield position due to the long term injury to Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla.
