The End Of Diego Costa? Three Strikers Chelsea Could Sign In January

The attack of Chelsea cannot be exonerated from the current woes of the Chelsea as they have have all be shambolic in their cameos for the club this term.

Costa ended last season as top scorer for the club but he has failed to replicate his form for last season. Hazard also ended last season on a high and won the PFA player of the year but he has failed to score a goal beginning this term.

If Chelsea are to bounce back for their attacking woes, there’s the need to bolster their attack. We briefly examine three players that Chelsea can use to bolster their attack in January.

Edison Cavani

Once described as a beast by Arsene Wenger, Cavani is a world class striker but his inability to play in the centre forward position means he is unhappy and may fancy a move. Despite playing from the wing, Cavani has scored 10 League goals this term and can replace Costa.

Antoine Griezmann

The French versatile attacker has been on the radar of Chelsea before the sack of Mourinho. He has been fervently linked to Chelsea and can make the move if the money is right. He has scored seven league goals in 14 matches.

He can play as an attacker or behind the attacker and will give option to Chelsea in the attack

Mauro Icardi

The promising youngster can solve Chelsea’s striking problem on the long-term. He has been dubbed as one of the most talented and promising youngsters in Europe. He has pace and is strong, and can replace Falcao on the long term.
