For those abreast with transfer dealings of Chelsea last summer, they probably were in the know that Chelsea sought a transfer deal for France international and Lyon goal poacher Alexandre Lacazette.
Reports have now resurfaced in the French media that Chelsea are looking to rekindle their interest on the player and they will attempt to sign him in January. It is understood that he will come as a replacement for Falcao.
The trio of Chelsea’s striker have failed to replicate their form of last season. Shamefullm Falcao, Remy and Diego Costa have all scored three goals in the League this term. Mourinho is currently in shock over the form of his strikers and he is looking at a deal in January for Lacazette.
Lacazette ended last season as top scorer for Lyon. He has picked up from where he stopped last season – he has so far scored six league goals this term.
He might not be an instant for Mourinho but he will provide a viable option to the misfiring Costa. Costa has been more famous for his temperament this term than his goal scoring prowess and has not ruled out the possibility of returning to the Vicente Calderon.
However, Lacazette is valued at £50 million and Hubert Fournier is keen on holding on to the player for at least this season. Lacazette is not the only player on the radar of Chelsea, they have reportedly drawn a list of attacker they will attempt to sign in January.
