Stamford Bridge outfit Chelsea will reportedly cancel the loan of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao at the club after a disappointing spell, which has yielded just one goal from 11 appearances for the Blues.
Falcao has struggled to replicate the form that made him one of the most feared strikers from his exploits at FC Porto, Atlético Madrid and AS Monaco before he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in January 2014 thus missing the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as a result.
The 29-year old star has had a disappointing 18 months spell in English football since his return from injury, which preceded his move to Manchester United on a loan deal from parent club AS Monaco in 2014. He was thereafter signed on a year long loan deal by former Chelsea manager Josè Mourinho after the expiration of his stay at Old Trafford.
According to reports in France, ‘El Tigre’ as he is fondly called was driven into Monaco’s training centre on Tuesday in a car with tinted window as the French club want to keep any potential deal on a low key. This was further seconded by French news outlet Le Parisien that Monaco are willing to bring the Colombian back to the club during the January transfer window.
