According to a report by Daily express, Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi who has been linked with a move to Arsenal in a deal said to be in the region of £32 million has made it clear he will not be leaving the Serie run away leaders any time soon.
Inter Milan’s highest goal scorer last season has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. Arsenal in particular have been regularly linked to the Argentine with Wenger said to be keen on signing him as a replacement for injured Danny Welbeck.
During an interview, Icardi was said to have said; “I stay here this season as I did the last one. I’m also the captain and I can’t leave a team which is doing good things.”
This will be a massive blow to Arsenal who could do with the goal scoring abilities of Icardi. Signing Icardi would have boosted the title chances of Arsenal as it is obvious both Giroud and The Walcott can’t carry the Gunners all through the season.
Icardi has in 11 appearances for Inter Milan so far this season scored four goals and created one assists. He has also created 9 goal scoring chances for his team mates.
