As it has come to become the norm with Arsenal every season, the Gunners are again as we enter the new year battling with some major injuries to some very key players in the squad and this is starting to tell on the team performance.
Although the Gunners have still been able to pull all together and get good results in their recent matches even in the absence of their major players but fans are afraid that it is just a matter of time before something bad happens and in fact, the points forte so far could have been more if the team had been complete.
However, there seems to be some good news in the horizon as Wenger confirmed two days ago that Mathieu Flamini will be back in the squad against Newcastle and this could help seal a win against the magpies on Sunday.
Alexis Sanchez is however not ready to return but is just a few weeks away, in fact maybe a few days away as he is expected to be back for Arsenal’s FA cup match against Sunderland.
Kieran Gibbs is expected back late January while Francis Coquelin might not return until the middle of February with central midfielder Mikel Arteta.
Santi Cazorla is expected back in March with versatile midfielder Tomas Rosicky whose return will definitely boost the team by a long shot.
Jack Wilshere could also make his return late March or in the early weeks of April while Danny Welbeck who was supposed to return in March has had a setback to his injury and is not expected back until April too.
Arsenal fans will just hope the available players can keep it together till these ones return and that the manager will at least sign 1 or 2 players to help the team till the first-team players return to the squad as some of the ones there now need major rest.
