Arsenal Re-open Talks To Sign Karim Benzema

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed has revealed that he will push for the Premier League title this year but he may not achieve that without bolstering his squad.

During the summer, Arsenal were drawn in a long transfer saga between they and Real Madrid for the signature of Karim Benzema. But the player opted to remain At the Santiago Bernabeu and left Arsenal with no choice.

However, reports have emerged according to Fichajes that Arsenal have not giving up on the hope of signing the player and they make offers for the player this January. Benzema has been on the radar of Arsenal for the past two seasons.

Real Madrid as is believed, are willing to let the player off their radar. Benzema was involved in a scandal in his country’s national team and Los Blancos are apparently not backing him at the moment.

Arsenal are without options in the attack as Welbeck is still sidelined with injury and Wenger’s chances of winning the League might be impeded without a prolific striker. Benzema can come into Arsenal’s team as a first choice and relegate Giroud to the bench.

Benzema has featured in 12 La Liga games for Madrid this term and has scored 11 goals. His style of play is characterised with holding on to the ball, placing through balls and good finishes. His conversion rate means he will be able to combine well with Ozil.
