With the transfer window approaching, a number of players have been linked to Arsenal including the likes of Batshuayi and Nolito, but most recently it appears Arsene Wenger is looking to make a long-term investment as he is keen on bringing in a new center back in January.
And according to the Sunday People, it is reported that Arsene Wenger is looking to snap up Kostas Manolas from SerieA giants Roma.
Arsenal were heavily linked with Manola earlier on in the summer, with the club making a number of enquiries about his availability from his agent , Mino Raiola.
The 28-year-old skipper who only just signed for Roma last season has cemented his place in the first team due to his impressive displays in defence.
Spurs are also rumored to be in the market for Manola but Arsenal seems his likeliest destination following Tottenham’s lack of Champions League football.
The 24-year-old is expected to cost Arsenal a fee around the region of £20m.
If Arsenal sign Manola it would be a great deal as it would revitalize the Gunners’ defence with a pair of fresh legs, Manola will also have a great chance to learn from experienced defenders Laurent Koscielny and Per Metersacker.
