Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was the only manager in all of Europe who did not sign an outfield player. This did not seem to be much of a problem since the season started but Wenger may have realized of recent that this could hurt his season in a big way especially after such an embarrassing defeat in the hands of Southampton yesterday.
The manager has since turned his attention to the transfer market a d it looks like he will be definitely be making some additions to the squad in the January transfer window.
It also looks like his first signing us already being prepared as recent reports are suggesting that FC Basel’s star midfielder Mohamed Elneny is the mist likely first January transfer for Arsenal.
The 23-year-old player will be one of the tall players in Arsenal midfield as h stands at 5ft 11ins and this will be very beneficial for th Gunners who seem to have a hoard of short players in their midfield.
He will also be a great addition as he is a central midfielder and Arsenal lacks options in the midfield at the moment with the many injuries the Emirates stadium based team are coping with.
He is also a midfielder who can score goals and this will definitely help Arsenal at this moment when they do need goalscorers in the team especially after such a terrible performance from the Gunners attack yesterday.
The transfer looks very imminent as there are already talks about what number the player will wear when he joins Arsenal but if the transfer is done and quickly too, it will definitely help the Gunners and this might just still ensure that they get their hands on the long-awaited English Premier League title.
It all remains to be seen, January us almost here.
