“He Will Absolutely Complete Chelsea Move” High Rated Midfielder’s Agent Confirms Chelsea Transfer Imminent

Youngster Charly Musonda must “absolutely” leave the west London club, according to his father Charles, per Belgian news outlet Derniere Heuere [via Tuttomercato].

Musonda joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2012 and was joined at Stamford Bridge by his older brothers Tika and Lamisha. But the 19-year old is the one who is highly-rated the most with a number of clubs interested in signing him, per Squawka.

It is claimed Manchester United are interested in signing Musonda and that Louis van Gaal’s side almost made a €15m move for the young Belgian in the summer. And Foot Mercato says the player is unhappy at Chelsea due to his inability to make a first team bow, despite only signing a new contract in March.

Now, Musonda’s father wants his boy to leave Chelsea and has claimed Monaco are interested in signing the attacker. He has now urged his son to seek a move away from the West London club and join another big club, in order to save his career.

“He must absolutely leave Chelsea and, since January, Monaco have been trying to sign him. Monaco are not alone but they truly want him,” Musonda Snr told La Derniere Heure [per the Daily Mail].

“He’s not had a specific discussion with Jose Mourinho yet but he’s trained regularly with the first team. He often watches his friend Eden Hazard. He plays an important role for Charly with his advice. My son does not want to copy his style but develop his own.

“Chelsea don’t want him [to go back to Belgium]. They want Charly to play in a good team in a big league. He must play for a first team. He progresses everyday but he must develop further.

“Technically, he’s always been good but he still has much work to do on a physical and mental level. He’s paying attention to this aspect of football.”

The Daily Mail claimed weeks ago Monaco are ready to offer the 19-year old a first team role – something which is not on the cards at Chelsea.

Chelsea have not really had the opportunity to blood more youngsters into the first team this season due to their dismal start to the campaign.

They find themselves in 16th position in the Premier League standings, after losing 7 times in 12 league outings and conceding 23 goals in the process.

The Blues will be hoping to get to winning ways when they host Norwich at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
