With lots of speculations surrounding Chelsea, its beginning to look like the Club’s interim manager Guus Hiddink, will oversee the club’s transfer activities in the January window. There is currently no certainty regarding Jose Mourinho’s successor. The big names that have been linked to the job recently are Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola and Athletico’s Diego Simeone.
Guardiola recently addressed rumors surrounding his future by stating that he won’t be signing a new deal at the Alianz Aren, leaving his next destination under speculations. He has been linked to City and Manchester United as well.
One of the top transfer speculations involving Chelsea is as regards Alex Teixeira. Hiddink may be the one to sign the Brazilian in the January transfer window. Teixeira has been heavily linked with the Londoners and may just be on the verge of joining his former Shaktar teammate at Chelsea ( Willian). With reports already claiming the player will arrive in London tomorrow to undergo a medical.
According to Shaktar manager, Mircea Lucsecu has previously given a hint on the player’s move, He said ” Alex is now worth more than €40 million ,but I think by the end of the season, were he to continue his performances, his value is €50 million”.
Texeira has also revealed Chelsea’s interests and has suggested a possible move to Stamford Bridge “am glad to hear a club like Chelsea is interested on me, it would be important to play in a tournament such as the premier league. And better yet if it comes in January, am welcoming a new challenge”.
The impressive attacker joined Shaktar from Vasco Da Gama in 2010 and has been overly impeccable.
