Arsenal have had to find a way to cope in the absence of several of their squad players who have become a major part of the Gunners setup and one of such players is young defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin.
The player became a major discovery of last season and has since kept on adding more incredible performances to his stats as he seems to get better with every match he plays for the Gunners.
He was however injured in Arsenal’s match against West Bromwich Albion in their English Premier League encounter on November 21 and has since been billed to be out of action until February at the earliest.
His absence has since forced manager Arsene Wenger to delve into the transfer market and look for a viable replacement and he may have gotten one has recent reports are suggesting the manager has completed the signing of Mohamed Elneny from Basel and he will arrive in January when the transfer window reopens.
However, Coquelin has recently stated that wants nothing more than to get back on the pitch and join his teammates as they strive to win the English Premier League title this season.
He however also stated that the players who have replaced him in the middle like Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini, have done well.
He said, “We are not trying to hide, we know what we want this season and obviously I want to be part of it again. I had a little [injury] but everyone who has come in has been performing.”
It remains to be seen though if his eagerness to return might make his healing quicker and this will no doubt please the fans.
