Emergency Board Meeting Reportedly Called by Roman Abramovich

There were wide reports in London yesterday that the Billionaire owner of Chelsea Roman Abramovich called for a crisis meeting to be held today involving his management team and the discussion is going to centre on the fate of Mourinho as coach of the Blues.

Accordinf to the Daily Mail, members of Abramovich management team includes Bruce Buck, Marina Granovskaia, Eugene Tenenbaum and Michael Emenalo.

Chelsea’s dismal and abysmal start has been attributed to the tactical failings of Jose Mourinho – the defending Champions are currently sitting in 16th position on the Premier League after 16 matches and the board might not be able to continue with Mourinho at the helms in a bid to avoid total capitulation of the club.

In the summer, Mourinho signed a new contract and it is believed that a clause was inserted in the contract that will be see Mourinho  take home about £40 million in the eventuality of his sack. It is now understood that Abramovich is already counting his loses as not qualifying for the Champions League might see him lost more.

Sky Sports has revealed that  Mourinho’s future is now in doubt as the board have made certain conclusions that is yet to be made public. Mourinho had publicly stated that the team cannot even end the season in top four accusing the players of betraying him.

However, the fans of Chelsea have come out to back Mourinho to continue but he is the captain that steers the ship for Chelsea and cannot be exonerated from the current woes of the club. In the eventuality of his sack, the Portuguese tactician will be remembered fondly for his loquaciousness.
