Chelsea have been having it bad this season and find themselves struggling to even stay in the English Premier League while fans are already wondering what is going to turn this around but the manger might have an idea as he has been targeting several players already for transfer in the January transfer window.
The Club confirmed the signing of young defender Jake Clarke- Salter until 2019. The 18 year old centre back was prolific for the Chelsea reserves last season as he featured in the triumph of the team in the UEFA Youth League last season so the Blues have decided to give him a professional contract.
With his recent contract, Jake would be willing to make an impression in order to help his chances in breaking into the first team of the Club and maybe even be better than the crop of defenders Chelsea are parading at the moment who have conceded twenty-three goals already in just twelve Premier League matches.
Jake might be on his way to becoming the next John Terry for the team and this will be a good move as the real John Terry is already tired and has hinted on leaving the club at the end of the season.
With Mourinho’s promise of helping Chelsea young players grow into the senior team as against his actual style, the player’s chances are very high and he could well making his breakthrough son enough. It remains to be seen though.
