Texeira joined Shakhtar Donetsk from Vasco Da Gama in the December of 2009. The 25-year-old Brazilian has steadily grown in relevance for the Ukrainian outfit and is about their best player at the moment.
His impressive cameos for Club have seen him draw keen transfer interest from Chelsea and they have been told they will let the midfielder off their radar only if Chelsea pays £30 million, via Evening Standard.
Learning of Chelsea’s interest in him, Texeira equally revealed that he will fancy a move to Stamford Bridge. This is said last month:
“I have an offer, it was a pleasure to know that Chelsea want to sign me.”It would be great if the transfer happens in January.”
Texeira is about the most in-formed midfielder in Europe at the moment – he has scored 19 goals in 13 games in the Ukrainian League this term and has 20 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
After Chelsea’s torrid start to the season, Jose Mourinho was reportedly rooting for players that can viably bolster his squad. Texeira can play on the wing or behind the striker and will fit into the squad of the Blues.
