According to The Express, Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk have reportedly come to an agreement over the deal that will see Brazilian forward, Alex Teixeira move over to London to ply his trade for the English champions as the team seeks to get back to winning ways after a poor start to the premier league this season. A deal that is said to be worth £30 million has been agreed verbally between the two clubs and official signing will take place anytime soon.
Contractual agreement between Chelsea and the player’s agent is going on and the 25-year old attacker will become one of the players plying their trades at the Stamford Bridge this January. The former Vasco da Gama forward has caught the attention of many top European teams this season as he has scored 26 goals in all competitions and he will soon be donning the colors of Chelsea FC soon.
His current team has been disqualified from the UEFA Champions league and this further intensifies the possibility of his move away from the Ukrainian side with Chelsea being his favored destination. Alex Teixeira joined Shakhtar Donetsk in November, 2009 after moving from Brazilian side, Vasco da Gama, he made his debut for the Ukrainian giant in 2010 and he has since scored 67 goals in 146 appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk. Though the attacker has not been capped for the senior team of Brazil, he has played at under17 and under20 level where his team finished second behind Ghana at the U20 World Cup in 2009.
