Chelsea News: Mourinho’s Replacement Latest, Players Eye Drogba Return

Despite the many speculations surrounding Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s job at the Stamford Bridge, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague insists Diego Simeone will not leave Atletico Madrid to join Chelsea.

This might be a bit of a stretch as the Chelsea manager has led his side to a woeful season thus far and it is getting quite apparent that he will be sacked and very soon with the club owner publicly showing his interest in Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, it might just work out but Balague is a trusted voice in football and his opinion might also just be the truth or have some truth in it.

According to reports from Express, the Argentine manager has been linked with replacing Jose Mourinho, should Roman Abramovich sack the 52-year-old manager.

Balague said concerning the manager replacement rumors that, “I was with Atletico Madrid last week and they assured me Diego Simeone is at the Vincente Calderon to stay.

“The plan is that he stays for a long time and with the new contract it should guarantee he stays for a few years at least.

“Also, Simeone hasn’t prepared himself to be in England just yet. I know that he is learning English but very slowly.

“Atletico Madrid are very assured that he will stay, despite the report linking him to Chelsea.

Time will tell who to believe with these rumors about Chelsea manager but if results do not change at Chelsea soon, then, Mourinho might just be replaced soon.
