With the current form and Manchester United and Chelsea, Arsenal have been tipped as favourite for the title but that cannot be achieved without the signing of reinforcement in the injury inflicted midfield.
We revealed earlier this week that Arsenal were in talks with FC Basel for the signing of their versatile midfielder Mohamed Elneny. Reports have now emerged according Egyptian media outlet that he player has verbally agreed to join Arsenal.
The impressive 23-year-old defensive midfielder joined Basel in the January of 2013 after he impressed the trainer of the club Murat Yakin. He was offered a loan deal but his consistency saw the Swiss club rewarded him with a four-year contract in the same year.
The player will be an instant hit for Arsenal who are without their key midfielders. Wilshere, Coquelin, Cazorla, Arteta and Flamini are currently sidelined with injuries. They signing of Elneny is timely and will certainly boost the chances of Arsenal at a trophy.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will host Newcastle in their next Premier League game and they will be looking to maintain similar winning momentum.
