BID ACCEPTED – Griezmann To Become A Chelsea Player But Costa To Leave

Atletico Madrid are willing to meet Diego Costa’s buyout clause in his Chelsea contract.

El Mundo Deportivo says Atletico are to trigger Diego Costa’s £28m release clause and bring the Chelsea striker back to Spain. This could have a big impact on Griezmann to Chelsea as reports claims the blues are trying to use the Spaniard as part of the Griezmann deal.

With the Blues looking for a new striker when the transfer window reopens, Diego Simeone’s Atletico are trying to lure Costa to La Liga again.

Costa left the Vicente Calderon for £32m last year meaning Chelsea would suffer a significant loss if these rumours are true.

Costa has bagged just 3 premier league goals this term and has been the subject of massive criticism from football fans around the world because of his aggressive style of play.

He seems to have had a clash with Mourinho recently as he was left out of their last fixture against Tottenham Hotspur which ended in a draw.

Diego Simeone will be keen on having his Warrior back at the Vincente Calderon following his impressive spell with Atletico the last time he played there, with his 36 goals leading Atletico to a La Liga title.

Although it’s evident that Costa isn’t having the best of times in the league this season, Mourinho might not be so keen on letting Costa go as he still remains a key part of the Chelsea team as he has proven his in-form capabilities in his previous season.

The Blues play Bournemouth next and Costa will hope he is included in the squad to face one of the league’s worst defences.
