With Wenger admitting that he needs to bolster his squad in January, the Gunners are now linked to one of the most prolific finishers in Europe Edison Cavani of Paris Saint Germain, this is according to reports.
The former Napoli goal-poacher has been on the radar of Arsenal from the summer but the Parc des Princes outfit resolve to hold on to the player could not be broken.
Arsenal are now reportedly preparing £47 million bid for the player as they hope it will be enough to tempt the Ligue One Champions into allowing Cavani join Arsenal.
The player had even revealed that he is unhappy with life with PSG. Since making the move from Napoli in the summer of 2013, Cavani has resorted to playing from the wing as Laurent Blanc prefers playing Zlatan Ibramovic as the centre forward over Cavani.
Arsenal are keen on taking advantage on his situation and lure him to the Emirates.
However, the player is a key figure in the team of Paris Saint German and they will not allow him leave in January. A report according to BuzzSport is in the claim that PSG will be willing to listen to offers for the player in the summer.
Arsenal are not the only club currently chasing the player, it is understood that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also on his case.
