If the reports emerging in the British media wave are anything to go by, the Gunners are on the verge of signing Celta Vigo forward Manuel Agudo Duran known as Nolito.
The former Barcelona player penned a four-year deal with Celta Vigo in the summer of 2013 and ended his debut season as the top scorer of the club. This season, he has continued to score with reckless abandon, scoring eight goals in 15 La Liga games.
The 29-year-old has been on the radar of Arsenal from the summer but they failed to sign him. However, Arsenal have reignited their interest on the player and the report have stated that Arsenal are willing to offer Joel Campbell in the deal.
The decision to offer Campbell will certainly not go well the fans of Arsenal as the player has easily impressed in the absence of Alex Sanchez. However, it seems Wenger is in need of assured options up front and in desperation to sign Nolito.
Arsenal are left with only Olivier Giroud in attack and Wenger is wary of the player’s injury susceptibility. A deal is definitely on card for the player.
