And it keeps getting worse for Arsenal. As if the lengthy injury recently suffered by influential defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin was not enough, the Gunners have been dealt another devastating blow with the news that one of their targets to replace Coquelin has ruled out a move to England.
Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has revealed the somewhat weird reason why he is not interested in making a switch to the English Premier League, as per the Daily Star.
The Polish midfielder has hit the spotlight quickly becoming one of the most sought-after defensive midfielders in Europe thanks to a number of stupendous performances for the La Liga giants.
Krychowiak’s brilliant displays has now caught the eyes of Arsenal, who have been linked with him since last summer.
The Gunners boss Arséne Wenger is allegedly a huge admirer of Krychowiak and numerous reports have claimed the French boss is keen to bring him to the Emirates as cover for Coquelin.
The north London club have now received a knock-out in the race to sign the 25-year old Polish, who has revealed he is not a fan of the English weather.
“A future in England?,” he said.
“It’s too cold there.”
Krychowiak joined the Seville outfit in July 2014 from Ligue 1 side Reims and has made 48 appearances for Unai Emery’s side. He was also instrumental to Sevilla’s Europa League triumph last term, bagging a goal in the final of the competition.
