Chelsea and Manchester United have been ruled out of the Premier league title race following their insipid form; this had led the book makers to tip Arsenal as favourite in the title race ahead of their last victim Manchester City.
However, Arsenal title race might hit the snag if they fail to bolster their otherwise strong squad. Arsenal have up to seven of their first team players injured out which five are midfielders. This has now led Arsenal to set their set on Croatia international and Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, per reports.
Brozovic joined the San Siro Giant on a loan deal from Dinamo Zagreb in January. Inter Milan have the option to buy him at the expiration of the deal next summer but the Arsenal are understood to have held talks with the player ahead of a January move.
Despite being a mainstay in the set up of Roberto Mancini, the report have claimed that Brozovic will be allowed off their radar of Inter for a cut-price of £5 million. The 23-year-old has featured 13 times for club this season and has scored 3 goals.
Brozovic, can play as a deep lying midfielder that loves to hold on to the ball, likes to tackle and dribbling easily. Given his style of play, he will fit in perfectly into the Gunners style and give Wenger an option to Cazorla.
