His full name is Mohammed Naser Elsayed Elneny, he is an Egyptian born 23 years ago in El-Mahalla El-Kubra. Standing at 5 feet 11 inches, Mohammed Elneny is a central midfielder that currently plays for FC Basel of Switzerland and he has been identified as someone who has a knack for goals and he has demonstrated this by scoring a couple of times for his club and country.

Before joining FC Basel, he played for El Mokawloon SC of Egypt from 2010 to 2013. He was loaned to FC Basel in January 2013, but the deal was made permanent in the summer of 2013. Since joining Basel, Mohammed Elneny has netted 5 goals in 91 appearances. He helped his team win 3 consecutive Swiss league titles since joining and he was part of the Basel team that lost to Chelsea in the Europa League in 2012/2013 season. He wears the number 33 jersey for FC Basel.
