The high rate defensive midfielder ( Elnenny ) has reportedly undergo a medical in France and all thats is left is for Arsenal to get him a work permit. It was initially reported that the Gunners’ applicaiton for a work permit for the Egyptian failed but if Guardian is to be believed, Arsenal has been able to get a special talent visa for him from the British home office.
Should Elnenny join Arsenal, he will be expected to take Francis Coquelin’s place pending when the French man returns from injury and when he returns, it will be interesting to see how the battle for the first team shirt spans out between the two of them.
In the absence of Coquelin, Flamini has done a yeoman job, however, it is widely accepted that he is not good enough in the long run if Arsenal actually want to win the league.
