ALMOST DONE – Arsenal To Announce Signing Of £70,000-A-Week World Cup Q/finalist

The reward for good work is more work. Arsenal football club is set to reward Joel Campbell with a chance to extend his stay at the club. Three months ago, the 23-year-old striker was relatively unknown. But he has shot into limelight within that short space of time.

At a time when the club was rocked by a disturbing injury crisis (with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all sidelined as well as long-term absentees, Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky), Wenger called upon Campbell. The Costa Rican forward stepped up, made good use of the opportunity and impressed. Following loan spells at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiakos and Villarreal, Campbell has grabbed his last chance with both hands showing how much he has benefitted from being away. His contract expires next summer but he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside England come January.

However, following his string of eye-catching performances, Arsene Wenger is keen on keeping the youngster at the Emirates beyond next year. It is understood that the club is set to offer Campbell a new contract afor length been reported that Arsenal are ready to offer Joel Campbell a new contract to keep him at the club next year. The player staying at the club means more options for Arsenal in attack and a real chance for the forward to learn and develop quickly- a win-win situation for both parties.
