The 24 year old Dynamo Moscow forward has been a subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, speculation concerning a move to the emirates. The fans are in doubt as regards the clubs next line of action.
However the Getfrenchfootball claims that, Arsenal have agreed a 6 million euro deal in principle with Dynamo Moscow for the Aleksandr Kokorin.
Reports further indicate that Arsenal are pushing for the move for Kokorin after weighing the fitness of Danny Welbeck. According to the Getfrenchfootball Welbeck is stalling on a contract extension and is contemplating a move away from the club (Arsenal).
According to the national, Russian legend Andrei Kanchelskis has posited that completing the move to Arsenal is a step in the right direction for the Dynamo Moscow forward.
He said “Kokorin should jump at the chance to leave Russia and go to that country,”
“The Russian championship is very weak and Aleksandr can progress at Arsenal. Arsenal are the best option for Aleksandra’s career. If he is prepared to work a lot, he will not have any problems. He will not be like Andrei Arshavin and will become a top-class forward for the London club” Kanchelskis he concluded.
Kokorin according to various reports in the Russian media will fly to London today to undergo a medical with Arsenal ahead of a January one move to the club. He could make his Arsenal debut in the FA cup clash on January 9 against Sunderland.
