Clubs are already getting serious about transfer moves that will happen in January for a number of reasons whether to strengthen the team or turn things around or just keep up the challenge as is Arsenal’s case.
But these teams are being careful of the players they can sign and while some of these transfer targets are reasonable, some of them are just outrageous but here therefore is a list of the players Arsenal could sign in January.
Marco Reus is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder, winger or striker for German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the Germany national team. Reus is an incredibly versatile player who can also add something to the Arsenal squad with his speed and quality.
The- 26-year-old midfielder is not an easy target but could easily be persuaded with Rosicky being his idol and the presence of Ozil and Mertesacker in the team and the guarantee of a first-team shirt. The question remains, who will be benched for him?
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a Gabonese attacking midfielder and forward who currently plays for German club Borussia Dortmund and the Gabon national football team. The 26-year-old forward could easily become Arsenal’s forward and will do well especially with the team lacking quality forwards at the moment. He is not such an expensive player too and could very easily be convinced to make the switch to the Emirates.
Grzegorz Krychowiak is a fantastic defensive midfielder who currently plays for La Liga side Sevilla FC. The 25-year-old Poland international could easily make the switch but could be skeptical as the Gunners defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin cannot be dropped for anyone at the moment if Wenger does not want trouble from the fans. However, fans also realize the team needs a backup defensive midfielder and so this could be a very good idea.
William Carvalho is a Portuguese defensive and central midfielder who plays for Sporting and Portugal. This is a player who by all means should have been at Arsenal already with the long interest in the player and the cost of the player and the fact that he can easily add some depth and quality as a central and defensive midfielder and could easily be paired with Coquelin or benched for him as the manager sees fit. Maybe finally, Wenger will bring him to the Emirates by January.
Edinson Cavani is another player who could easily make the switch to the Emirates as presently he is still devastated with the recent happenings in Paris and has told the club that he is afraid of coming back and might push a move away by the January transfer window, so it could be easy for Arsenal to sign him especially with him knowing that he is guaranteed a first-team position as the main striker in the squad and not a winger as he has been playing in PSG.
It remains to be seen though what Wenger will choose to do come January.
