As the teeming fans of Arsenal brace themselves in the cold winter to see their darling Gunners compete for the Premier League glory, they will expect Wenger to bolster some aspects of his team after failing to do so in the summer.
According to latest reports, Arsenal have reignited their interest in the summer transfer prime target Grzegorz Krychowiak of Sevilla and the Gunners boss is set to finalize the deal for the versatile midfielder.
Grzegorz Krychowiak, 25, joined Sevilla from Reims in the summer of 2014 and has emerged as favourite defensive midfielder for Unai Emery. Wenger has reportedly made the signing of the Poland international a priority.
Since Wenger broke his tight-fistedness in the signing of Mesut Ozil in 2013, he has not relented in paying big for top-quality players. It is understood that Wenger has prepared £33 million and the officials of the club will raid the La Liga for Grzegorz Krychowiak.
Wenger failed to sign any outfield in the summer and the injuries to most of his deep-lying midfielders’ means he left with no choice than to bolster his squad.
Krychowiak can play as a defensive midfielder and a centre back. His presence in the team of Arsenal will give a player like Ramsey the freedom to buzz around the midfield. Arsenal would have signed a quality player if they can complete the deal for him.
