Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal may be set to shock everyone with his latest tatget as he is reportedly planning to make a stunning bid for German superstar striker Robert Lewandowski.
This is in a bid to increase the team’s attacking options which have been lean since the beginning of the season not by way of few players there but by way of quality.
The Red Devils have lacked quality in their attack as legend Wayne Rooney has been in an acute lack of form all season while new signing Anthony Martial has not been much of a goalscorer this season while another new signing Memphis Depay has not been able to make much of an impact all season and has lived up to his expectations.
Recent reports are now suggesting that the Red Devils may be ready to sign Poland international superstar Lewandowski and will also be ready to offer him £210,000-a-week wage to lure him to the Old Trafford.
If United sign Lewandowski as a striker, it would hurt La Liga giants Real Madrid and French giants Paris Saint-Germaine who are also interested in signing the goal machine.
The 27-year-old striker has scored 23 goals in 25 appearances for Bayern Munich so far this season and is wanted by a number of clubs for his fantastic form.
It remains to be seen if Van Gaal will be able to complete the transfer this time or lose out again as usual.
