Having gotten his breakthrough into the first team of Italian giants AC Milan, Gianluigi Donnarumma may be on his way out of the Italian club as Manchester United have indicated interest in snapping him up ahead of other top European teams. On making his debut, the 16-year old Italian is the youngest player to play in the Serie A and he may be out of the league soon.
News coming from Italian media outlet Calciomercato revealed that Manchester United are planning a bid that will see the Italian switch to join the English giant very soon. Though other teams are also in the race to sign him, it is almost guaranteed that the Old Trafford outfits will be the team to sign him. It was initially thought the player will find it difficult to get a work permit, but such fears has now been dismissed, reportedly.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has been hailed as the next young goalkeeper to do like Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who has excelled since joining Chelsea from Atletico Madrid. Manchester United see Donnarumma as the best replacement for Spanish international David De Gea who is bound to leave the English premier league side next summer.
City rival, Manchester City, is another English giant seeking to snap up the youngster. The Citizens are also looking for a way to secure the signature of the young Italian as much as possible; however, Manchester United are leading the race.
Manchester United have identified Donnarumma as a long-term replacement for De Gea in case the Spaniard leaves in the summer. Report suggested that Manchester United will make an audacious move to get the shot-stopper in January if possible so as to ward off any competition.
