Louis Van Gaal may be trying too hard to save his job as he is presently making some players his target for this January transfer window. However, I see a great problem for him as he still does not seem to understand the transfer market and how to even sign players.
Van Gaal made Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez who happens yo be their most expensive signing his target in the summer but Madrid was not even even ready to listen. He is reportedly planning to go back for him this January and this is way beyond ridiculous as everyone knows they won’t sell.
He is now also reportedly targeting Lazio’s Felipe Anderson who just happens to be their best attacker and midfielder and who might cost Manchester United around £50m and this also looks ridiculous as it is not sure that the United management will be ready to give him a dime more after he squandered over £250m in the summer and they still find themselves struggling at 6th position on the English Premier League table.
Although sources say that the player is keen on a move to Old Trafford but the implication is that Van Gaal might need to sell off some players to balance the books if he means to sign Felipe Anderson and I do not also see how the Red Devils management will allow that after their horrible transfer business in the summer.
It remains to be seen though if Van Gaal will be able to complete this signing and if he will be able to do it without ruining the Manchester United cadence.
