25 year old Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is reportedly the primary target for Arsenal. It is believed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger intends to conclude the deal this January and will make a 33 million pound bid for the Poland international.
Considering the fact that Arsenal have been hit by a series of injuries in the holding midfield position with the likes of Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla suffering long term injuries Arsene Wenger has made signing of a top quality midfielder his top priority.
Arsenal’s policy of not committing players who are over 30 years of age at times contracts is another factor that drives the move for the polish midfielder. A source from Arsenal claims Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky won’t be offered new contracts.
According to the reports, the Sevilla midfielder was watched on a number of occasions by Arsenal scouts. And now Arsenal are prepared to move for the pole. With a bid of 33 million pounds.
Grzegorz Krychowiak has made 16 appearances this season creating four chances in the process and has a pass success rate of 84 percent, shot success rate of 30 percent, he has won 47 headers and has an excellent work rate.
He joined La liga outfit Sevilla in 2014 for 4.5 million euro’s, and was instrumental to Sevilla’s success in the Europa league last season after scoring the equalizing goal in the 28th minute of an eventual 3-2 win over Dnipro. He was the only Sevilla player named in the La liga team of the season in 2014/2015 season.
