The Manchester United forward who is currently on loan at German Bundesliga outfit, Borussia Dortmund was spotted in the director’s box at Old Trafford during Manchester United’s crunch match against Chelsea. There had been whispers that his loan spell may be cut short due to his lack of minutes and this will only serve to fuel the speculation surrounding that situation.
The player has only made nine appearances for the Black and Yellow club this season and things may not improve as he faces stiff competition from the likes of Gabonese, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, German international, Marco Reus, Armenian playmaker, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, former Manchester United teammate and Japanese international, Shinji Kagawa and German Gonzalo Castro. The club currently lie in second position and see no need to alter their forward line that has served them so well this season.
Michel Zorc, director at the Bundesliga club in an interview with kicker, however ruled out cutting short the Belgian international’s loan spell. He said, “That’s currently not an issue”, but admitted that it’s difficult for the youngster to break into BVB’s starting XI. “We play an extraordinary season, and the others do an incredible job. There is no reason to bench them.”
The player will be hoping to see more minutes on the pitch when the Bundesliga resumes from the winter break to help him make the star studded Belgian team to the Euros in France.
Some reports claim Januzal was back at old trafford to discuss a potential move away from the Red devils who reportedly want Marco Reus as part of the deal that will see the big Belgian become permanent Dortmund player.
