According to the reports from England, the agent of Galatasary winger Kevin Grosskreutz is set to hold talks with Liverpool to discuss a potential move for the player to Anfield this January transfer window.
It is believed that the player has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and that negotiations with the 27 year old are in final stages claims the Turkish newspaper Takvim.
The former Dortmund star signed for Galatasary in the summer, but failure to send the necessary documents to Fifa before transfer Deadline has kept him from playing for the Turkish outfit since making the move. The 27 year old is reportedly not happy with his current situation as the Turkish giants seem to be treating the matter carelessly, at this point it is believed a move would favor both the player and the Turkish side.
Usually a left winger Kevin Grosskreutz can play on either flank of the forward line and can also play as a fullback. His versatility will be key for Jurgen Klopp’s men should he (Kevin Grosskreutz) sign for the Mersey side club.
According to the reports the deal would be worth around 2.5 million euros (£1.8 million) and could be announced within 10 days should all things if everything goes to plan
Jurgen Klopp who managed Grosskreutz at Dortmund during a successful spell a Dortmund in which they won the Bundesliga twice in 2010/ 2011 and 2011/2012 season, will be looking forward to the reunion with the German international.
The 27 year old should fit perfectly to the Liverpool system in midfield. His pace and agility will allow him adapt to the rigors of the English premier league.
