Arsenal youngster Gedion Zalalem is set to remain in the Scottish League after the club confirmed that the player will remain with the club until the end of this season, this is according to reports.
Zalalem joined the academy of Arsenal in 2013 but ascended the Under-16s through the Under-21. He was consistently impressive for the Junior team of Arsenal before he was sent on loan to Rangers last summer.
The deal was scheduled to end this month but having impressed, The Gers manager Mark Warburton confirmed the extension on Sunday.
“Gedion is staying with us. We talked to Arsenal, that’s an ongoing process.”
Since making the move, the Germany born star has been a regular for Rangers this season. He has started in 10 out of his 12 cameos for the club and they are satisfied with the player’s performance.
The talented play maker has been tipped as the next big player that will come out of the academy of Arsenal and Wenger is keen on the player’s quick development.
The Gunners currently boast of the best midfielders in the Premier League in terms of skills and creativity. There will be no place for him if he decides to return this January, his best bet is to continue to develop away from the club.
