As per the Daily Mirror, Arsenal have joined the queue for the signature of highly-rated Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani, whom Serie A giants Napoli are also keen on.
The Gunners have been linked with Rugani for the past weeks and there are reports Manchester United are also interested in the Italy Under-21 defender.
The 21-year old is reportedly frustrated with lack of game time at Turin this term and, Calciomercato reveal that the Gunners are ready to do business with the Serie A champions if things finally turn sour between the young defender and his club.
Rugani, had his contract bought by Juventus in February after two successful seasons at Empoli, but the towering centre-back is yet to impose his presence at Massimiliano Allegri’s side, with just one substitute appearance coming in a Champions League game against Sevilla.
There are claims Rugani is determined to leave Juve and the club are also ready to let him leave on a loan deal. However, if Arsenal want to sign him permanently, they will have to cough up a fee of around £25m.
The Italian defender is adept with aerial balls and always makes the defence his primary objective. Rugani is currently behind the likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli and would jump at the chance to play regular football at Arsenal.
The Gunners have been named as favourites in the race and could land the Italian centre-back as early as January.
