Matic Replacement? Chelsea Set To Beat Man United To Signing Of £75,000-A-Week Star

Clubs are really starting to make moves for player additions to their squads and players are being targeted from all over the leagues.

Some of these players will switch clubs easily enough while some will bring a lot of drama ana might make some major money for their clubs.

Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic is currently valued at £7 million but he could very well cause some major battles and make more money for his club as he is already being chased by Chelsea, Juventus, Everton, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germaine and even Manchester United.

Recent reports are claiming that the defensive midfielder is desperately wanted by Chelsea as they want him as a replacement for their midfielder Nemanja Matic who they could force out of the club, maybe even by the January transfer window.

However, Belgrade’s sporting director, Blazo Raosavljevic has clearly revealed that they have not received any offers for their player but there are confirmed interests from the Serie A.

Raosavljevic said, “Lots of clubs want the player, Napoli are also courting him. However, we have not received any offers at the moment.

“If one came in now for £4.2m (€6m) I would reaffirm that our goal is to avoid selling the player until August 31, 2016.

“There are clubs who are willing to pay the fee that we are asking for, although it is hard to say what he is worth. Some sides are ready to pay £7m (€10m).

Grujic however said, “Matic is Serbian and he has been at Chelsea for over a year. He tells me that they want me.

“Right now I am at Red Star, we are top of the table and I want to win the title here. I don’t think that I’ll be moving in January, but there’s definitely more of a chance in June.

It remains to be seen where he will be playing by January.
