Rumours of Manchester United interested in Neymar’s services during the Summer have been confirmed by his father. And United are once again set to bid for the Brazil team’s skipper by January. The Barcelona forward was instrumental in the Catalunya club’s success last season. Contributing a total of 39 goals as Barcelona clinched the Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey titles. The Spanish giants are in talks with Neymar for a contract extension, and despite it seeming to be stalling, his chances of leaving the Camp Nou are low.

Manchester United confirmed a loan deal for youth side goalkeeper, Joel Pereira via the club’s official twitter handle after the victory at weekend,

“Good luck to Joel Castro Pereira as our young goalkeeper joins Rochdale for a one-month youth loan.”

The Portugal Under-19 international has been at the Theater of dreams since 2012 when he arrived from Swiss side, Neuchatel Xamax, and he is highly prioritized by the club for a future in-between the sticks for the team. In order for the teenager to get more playing time and experience, LVG decided to send him on loan to the League One club, as competition in United will limit his appearances for the senior team this season. The 19 year-old has made 11 appearances for the under-21 United team thus far.

Sporting Lisbon has started the Portuguese League this term on the brightest of notes. They are currently unbeaten, and have been brilliant all-round this season. A player who has contributed to this record is defender, Paulo Oliveira. The 23 year-old top rated player has been on top of his performances since the season started and has attracted Manchester United who are keen on his arrival to the Old Trafford come January.

The player himself is excited by United’s interest in him and said during a recent interview,

“It’s a good sign. I do not know about the facts but above all, it’s good to know that your work is being assessed. I have to continue to work harder and not fall asleep.”

Reports say he is valued at 14 million Euros by the Portuguese side, and the Red Devils look set to make a move for him once the Winter transfer window opens.
