Wayne Rooney has overwhelmingly underperformed this season with just 2 goals in 12 matches and it is obvious that Manchester United are ready to replace the forward with a much younger striker. Nishan Burkart has been singled out as the person to replace the English striker by Louis Van Gaal.
The FC Zurich striker is expected to bring the attacking vibes that Manchester United need. The 15-year old can be played on the wings or as a striker. However, he might not be able to solve the issue Manchester United have presently. The team is finding it hard to score goals and should rather be looking at signing a proven striker who is in the caliber of the likes of Kun Aguero, Karim Benzema, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thomas Muller and co. Signing another young striker at this moment could be unimportant.
The youngster could be signed in January on scholarship terms and then loaned back to the Swiss side to gain more experience that will be useful when he finally joins Manchester United in the future. Arsenal FC and Chelsea are said to be also keen on signing the young forward.
Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal, is already building a team for the future with Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and other young players getting enough playing time under the Dutchman. Any manager that comes in after him will definitely have lots of talented youngsters to work with.
