Apparently, Manchester United at an advantage in terms of the personnel for the game – reporting coming in suggest Samir Nasri has joined Sergi Aguero and David Silva to the growing list of injured players at the Etihad.
Aguero and Silva missed last weekend’s game and they will be joined on the sideline by Nasri with the report also saying Vincent Kompany is a doubt for the game. Nasri picked up a knock last weekend in their win over Bournemouth and couldn’t be substituted.
To say the least, it is an injury crisis for Manchester City who have been nursing the injuries of atleast six key players. Pellegrini confirmed that Nasir could not be substituted because they had taken out three players already.
“Unfortunately we knew that he was feeling something after we made the third change so if not maybe I can change him before,” Pellegrini said.
“He didn’t run too much, he stayed in the middle so we’ll see in the next few days what happens with him.”
For Manchester United, they almost have a clean slate of health. Bar injury to Luke Shaw and illness to James Wilson, United have almost all their players available for the derby clash.
