Spanish giants Real Madrid are set to rescue Memphis Depay from his struggles at Manchester United, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The 21-year-old player signed for Manchester United in the summer transfer window, putting pen to paper on a £150,000-a-week deal and looked like a great signing for the Red Devils and was welcomed with much gusto as he looked like a bright star but things have taken a turn in the opposite direction since then.
The young Dutch star was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season with 22 goals for PSV as his side won the title.
After scoring just once for United in the Premier League, though, with rumours of trouble behind the scenes, he has lost his place in the side and now Louis van Gaal is preferring to play Anthony Martial out of position on the left wing.
La Liga giants Real Madrid may however be set to rescue the player as they believe that he is still a fantastic player but is not been guided well at the Old Trafford and that he might not do well in the English Premier League but be better in the La Liga.
United have been really lacking in their attacking options at the club and it has been costing them seriously in some matches with them currently on a goalless draw streak but Van Gaal still insists on dropping Depay so this could even force the winger’s hand away from the club as soon the January transfer window. We will have to wait and see.
