Manchester United have been enduring a torrid season lately and Louis Van Gaal is under pressure to their season around. Manchester United have failed to win in their last seven games and if they fail to win today, Van Gaal might be shown the exit of Old Trafford.
A crop of the injured players have returned and United a large enough squad that will be able to play Chelsea. The Major absentees are in the right and left back positions.
This is how we expect Manchester United to line-up vs Chelsea
In De Gea, Manchester United have the best goalkeeper in the Premier league but he has been let down by the horrible form of his defence. He will be still be retained in between the sticks for United.
The same back four that lost against Southampton we think will be retained this evening. Ashley was poor on the right back but he is the only experienced choice there and he needs to up his game. On the left back as well Blind did not do very well but Louis Van Gaal has no better option. We will see Smalling and Jones at the heart of defence for United.
Schneiderlin has returned from injury and we think he will be given a nod as the anchor midfielder and Carrick will play along him. Ander Herrera will play behind the attack for united and the three midfielders will have to be turned on for 90 minutes.
Depay was horrendous in attack and we suspect that Martial will take his place on the Left flank and Mata be made to play on the right. Although United lost their last game, Rooney got on in the second half and he was the difference for United.
